ATEGO Cloud Backup
ATEGO Cloud Backup is an online remote backup service meant for small and medium enterprises, as well as large multinationals. This is not a home backup service. If you are trying to back up your home PC, there are numerous mass market file backup services offered by others for that. The ATEGO Cloud Backup service is based on an award winning software platform used throughout the world to back up petabytes of data. The service allows you to back up data from your servers, desktops, and laptops, over the internet, using your existing ADSL, SDSL, leased line, or MPLS. You can schedule backups once a day during the night when your internet connection is least busy or you can turn on Continuous Data Protection (CDP) and have files backed up all day. Furthermore, you can relax with the peace of mind that your backup data is secured while in transit and at rest in our storage platform using the only US Government FIPS certified AES128/256 encryption algorithm available in the backup market. Only you know the encryption key. The service provider cannot decrypt or read your data - a feature which sets us apart from many other services out there.
The ATEGO Cloud Backup service can back up data from multiple remote locations and operating environments to a single centralized backup infrastructure. This ensures that your remote offices are properly backing up their data, and it makes management of your backup tasks totally automated.

Disk Based: ATEGO backs up all your data to RAID5 disks. No more waiting for your tape backups to complete. No more uncertainty over whether your tape backups are recoverable.
Agentless: with no agents to install on the server being backed up, you don’t have to worry about software conflicts, rebooting the server for agent installation and patches, managing multiple agents, heavy CPU utilization, and a host of other issues associated with agents.
Incremental Backup: ATEGO only backs up the individual data blocks that have changed since the last backup was done for both files and databases. This means backups are faster, more bandwidth efficient, and more storage efficient.
Global File Deduplication: By keeping a digital signature of the files that have already been backed up before, ATEGO makes sure you don’t waste resources by backing up numerous copies of the same data.
Integrated Platform: Backup servers, desktops, and laptops to ATEGO. Backup Windows, Linux, Novell, Macintosh, and AS/400. Backup unstructured data such as files and structured data such as databases to ATEGO. Backup SQL, Oracle, DB2, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Exchange, Notes, SAP, VMware, SharePoint, and more.
Strong Security: ATEGO uses the only backup solution to achieve U.S. Government FIPS certification of its AES 128/256 encryption algorithm. Only you hold the encryption key. No one else can read your data when on the fly or at rest.
