Implementation Management

 

From experience, we know that implementing a DR solution can sometimes be a lengthy process with numerous things to consider and plan for. Hardware sizing, software compatibility, storage sizing, bandwidth sizing, network security, scripting, physical access, working hours, acceptance testing, training, documentation, are but a few of the things we look at.

 

We always seek to work closely with the customer’s own IT staff, building a friendly relationship amongst the implementation team members.  If the customer wishes, we will also try to transfer our knowledge to the customers IT staff during the implementation to make daily maintenance easier.

  

DR Testing

 

As part of our usual implementation procedures, we will always do at least one failover test or backup and recovery test with the client to be sure the system is working.  However, most clients require, at the minimum, annual testing of their DR procedures and systems. For this, it is quite common for the customer to ask us to participate in the DR testing either actively or on a standby basis.

 

Testing is often done after work hours or on the weekends.  We can be there to help you identify gaps in your procedures of fills gaps in your product knowledge.

 

Administrator Training

 

For all the solutions that we sell and support, we always make available training for the operators and administrators who will have to manage the system.  Training usually takes one or two days, and can be customized to suit the requirements of the trainees.

 

Training usually involves a theory section as well as a hands-on section. All trainees will get a copy of the course notes.
