CA ARCserve®
Pantropic is the original Singapore distributor of CA ARCserve®, formerly named CA XOsoft, and has the most experienced deployment team in Southeast Asia.
Now part of CA, CA ARCserve®, is the award winning continuous application availability solutions that fully address business continuity, disaster recovery and continuous backup needs. CA ARCserve® is a product that offers data protection and near-instantaneous failover and restoration through WAN-optimized replication of files, email and databases. It adds automated failover through real-time system monitoring and automated disaster recovery testing to ensure that your DR site is ready when you need it most.
CA ARCserve® products ensure uninterrupted access to all types of file and application servers, including Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Oracle Databases, IIS, and Blackberry servers. Applications running on 32-bit and 64-bit Windows, AIX, Linux, Solaris, on physical or virtual servers can also be protected.

Key Features:
Full-System High Availability: Protects the Windows operating system, system state, application and data through physical to virtual and virtual to virtual replication and failover to a Microsoft Hyper-V replica server. The replica server can be offline to help eliminate operating system and application license fees to reduce DR costs.
Multiple Replication Types: Offers continuous, scheduled and ad-hoc replication to create a balance between resource utilization and the required level of protection.
Offline Synchronization: Provides an alternative to LAN and WAN synchronization to more easily transfer large Windows-based data sets and databases to speed replication without impacting network utilization.
Scenario Group Management: Provides the ability to group together scenarios for multiple machines to protect distributed platforms such as SharePoint, Web applications and document repositories.
SharePoint Farm High Availability: Protects the entire SharePoint farm with individual server and farm-level replication and failover.
Application-aware Replication: Means no custom scripting required for Microsoft Exchange, SQL Server, SharePoint, IIS, Dynamics CRM, and Windows as well as for Oracle and Blackberry Enterprise Server. Works on Windows, Linux and UNIX systems running on physical and virtual servers.
Multi-Stream Replication: Multi-Stream Replication enables the use of multiple data streams to increase network replication throughput over high-latency LAN and WAN.
Custom Application Protection: Custom Application Protection provides a wizard-based tool to create replication and high availability scenarios for third-party and custom applications without having to write scripts in many cases.
Manual, Scheduled, or Automated Failover: CA ARCserve® Replication requires manual failover while CA ARCserve® High Availability provides server monitoring with scheduled and fully automated failover - keeping employee productivity high.
Automated DR Testing: Assured Recovery lets you test your failover system without disrupting your production environment. Offers optional VSS Snapshot for application-consistent backups off the Replica server.
Continuous Data Protection (CDP): Allows quick and easy data rewind after loss or damage.
Hot Deployment: No reboot of production server required for deployment and maintenance.
Centralized Management Console: Makes CA ARCserve® easier to deploy and manage.
VMware vCenter High Availability: Protects the VMware vCenter server application – critical for VMware environments.
Assessment Mode: Helps estimate LAN and WAN bandwidth needs without disrupting the production environment to minimize network costs.
Integrated with CA ARCserve® Backup: Enables VSS snapshot backup with a single job.
Windows System State Protection: Speeds server recovery.
Windows Registry Synchronization: Replicates designated registries to speed server and application recovery.
CA XOsoft Control Service Protection: Provides high availability for the CA ARCserve® management service itself.
Linux and UNIX® Replication: Enables broad platform support.
Physical and Virtual Server Support: Protects virtualized server environments (VMware and Hyper-V) and allows use of virtualization to help reduce DR costs.
64-bit Platform Support: Allows for x86 to x64 replication and data migration.
When to Use
- When you have a mission critical server that you cannot afford to be ‘down’ for more than a few minutes.
- When the replica server needs to be hosted either onsite or in an offsite location.
- When high availability of your applications is critical to your business, and you need a very experienced deployment team to make sure it is running properly.
